What will my first treatments consist of?
The treatment consists of the clinician using their hands to stretch joints and encourage them to move the correct way. Additionally, massage and possibly 'thrusts', whereby the spine is moved eliciting a clicking noise, could be part of the treatment. Throughout the session the Chiropractor will ask for your consent and explain what they are doing. Whilst treatment shouldn't be painful, there may be some tenderness afterwards. It may be necessary to ask you to complete some exercises in between your treatment sessions. During the course of your treatment, your treatment will be continually reviews and altered if needed.
How long will it take to recover?
Recovery time vary depending on the condition our Chiropractor is treating. Patients will often be given stretches and exercises to do alongside their treatment, clinical evidence suggests patients who comply with their treatment plan generally recover faster.
